Meet our staff

Charles and Sue Fikes are the President and Vice-President of Charles & Sue’s School of Hair Design. Charles & Sue moved to the Bryan/College Station area in 1971 with a dream of building a successful Cosmetology school business. They started in downtown Bryan on Main Street and moved to the current location on Briarcrest Drive in 1979. Charles & Sue are both retired and now have their daughters running the daily operations of the school.

Tracy Gilstrap

Tracy is the Director of Education and Financial Aid Officer. She has been in the Cosmetology industry for over 29 years, and has taught at Charles & Sue’s for over 27 of those 29 years. She has attended the Pivot Point International Symposium five times, attended The Redken Exchange in New York City in 2009 and is a graduate of the Aquage Master Academy.

Sheri Collins

Sheri is the Admissions Representative as well as a Financial Aid Officer and an instructor. She has been with Charles & Sue’s for over 23 years. She has attended the Pivot Point International Symposium, and is a graduate of the Aquage Master Academy. Sheri also attended The Redken Exchange in New York City in 2009, and is a certified Matrix Master Colorist.

Marietta Henley

Marietta is the Student Activity Director and an instructor. She has been with Charles & Sue’s over 18 years. She has attended the Pivot Point International Symposium, KRS Salon Business Academy, and she is an Aquage Master Academy graduate.

Dora DeJesus

Dora DeJesus is an Instructor here at Charles & Sue’s. Dora has been in the Cosmetology industry for over 27 years and has taught at Charles & Sue’s for over 8 years. Dora’s specialty is in training freshmen the basics they need to get started in their cosmetology career. She has attended the Pivot Point International Symposium and she is an Aquage Master Academy graduate.

Brandi Kuecker

Brandi is an Instructor at Charles & Sue’s and she has been employed with the school since March 5, 2010. Brandi, along with the other staff members, is an Aquage Master Academy graduate. Charles & Sue’s is thrilled to have Brandi join our staff of highly trained professionals.

Mary Alice Harris

Mary Alice has been in the Cosmetology industry for over 24 years and has worked for Charles & Sues’ in past years. She has come back “home” to join our team of skilled educators. She is also a graduate of the Aquage Master Academy and brings with her many years of expertise in the field of cosmetology.

Lisa Anderson

The first person you will meet when entering Charles & Sue’s is their awesome receptionist Lisa Anderson. Lisa has been with Charles & Sue’s for over 5 years. She plays a vital role in helping the school run smoothly. Come in and meet Lisa and all the staff at Charles & Sue’s. we look forward to meeting you.
